This is IVCA's second visit to Indonesia. We were in Bali in 2018. This time we stayed in Klaten in Java. Thanks to the 37 members who travelled from 15 different countries and to the thousands of Indonesians who made the event so memorable.
Klaten is a scenic regency in central Java. We teamed up with ICHC for their conference and KLICfest for their festival of cycling. There are photo galleries of the festivities on the Official Klaten Government Website and the Klaten Government PR Portal.
An action packed day out on the bikes featured a visit to Kemudo village hall to see the traditional dancing of the local children. Some of us tried making Batik. We rode through paddy gardens to enjoy the produce of a rice ramba biscuit works. After a good lunch we tried our hands at archery and ecoprint fabric printing

We enjoyed a guided tour of the Prambanan Temple. Artisanal coffee followed then some good luck with the thunder storm which conveniently broke during lunch. The afternoon saw fun racing in the steamy atmosphere of the temple grounds.
The Rally concluded with a gala dinner. Further entertainments followed. There were visits to Inku and Spedagi Some us went touring on modern bikes as far north as Semarang. IVCA members might be glimpsed in the Critical Mass Semarang photos
